Let me introduce you to who PPR Knights are.

We all know that without great employees, a company cannot survive. Employees are the foundation of a company. We often forget to be grateful to all the people who inspire us daily. At Programming Pool, we are so lucky to be surrounded by amazing people. This article is about some of them!

Among the knights, we can find developers, bug hunters, managers, but also verbal assassins. Each one has his own enemies, their own set of problems they must resolve with their specific abilities.

Developers finish their foes up-close, using the power of the source code. The code acts like dark magic and renders vulnerable enemies. They are skilled crafters and know how to combine frameworks to achieve their goals. Endurance and force are their main advantages – which they are using daily to become more powerful.

Bug hunters battle their foes at a distance or up-close, running tests while knocking their arrows, firing their guns, or readying their polearms. There is no bug to get out of their hands, whether they use manual or automated testing. Using the power of killed bugs, they develop demonic traits that create rejection and fear.

Managers stand directly in front of their enemies. Their primary purpose is to absorb damage and prevent others from being attacked. They are “meat shields”, putting themselves between the client and the group members.

Verbal assassins are the masters of the words, will use their powers to ensure that development is in line with business requirements. Without their help, all the other knights would be disoriented and unable to survive.

Because it would have been difficult to mention all the colleagues who inspire us, we decided to talk this time about those who have been part of the team for more than 10 years. These heroes are Calin, Andrei, Romeo, Marius, Alex, Lorant, and Vlad.

You are probably asking yourself: what determined them to remain with us for more than 10 years? See what they’ve said for yourself.

As you can see, we have brave knights with unique stories and excellent skills to share! When trust is in place, each team member becomes more robust. And when people trust one another, the group can achieve important goals, strengthening the team!

When I was asked to write a text about my experience at PPR, I hardly received this because I don’t like being in the spotlight. However, I accepted the challenge because this is not so much about me as the company I have worked for so many years! But do you know what’s interesting? The fact that I didn’t even notice how these years went by. And that says a lot about how I felt in the company and that the good moments far outweighed the bad ones. Otherwise, I don’t think I would have stayed that long. In the end, no one visits, or shouldn’t wait, in a place where they no longer feel good and feel motivated and respected, which is also essential. Over the years, I have had many colleagues. I was closer to some and less to others. But I can say that the quality of the people I have met in the last 15 years has positively influenced me to continue at Programming Pool. I got along well with all the employees, with the “old” ones like me, I got along best. Most likely, this was the decisive criterion for staying here so long. No matter how much you want to be professionally motivated or how much you motivate yourself, it doesn’t work very well without a strong team by your side. Or if it works, then after many years, you will find that everything was in vain when you look back. Looking back, the years that have passed have been beautiful and valuable in my life. If for some, Programming Pool is a chapter in life, for me, it is a whole book. A book that I will enjoy reading at any time. But before I start reading it, there are a few more chapters to write. I’m not done yet. The story continues….”

Programming Pool is the place that gave me enough challenges to motivate and keep me here. I started as a developer, and now that I have learned to slip through the problems, I am a Project Manager. I’ve been part of the team for 18 years, a family whose members have changed. I think I learned from each of them, former or current colleagues, and I hope I managed to offer them something in return!”
Andrei Nagy - Project Manager
My experience at Programming Pool began in 2006 when I had the chance to start my professional adventure, which has continued unabated for over 15 years until today. When I first stepped on the company’s threshold, I met a handful of dedicated people who were stubborn about keeping up the standard of continuous development which PPR. I shyly joined this team of talented and devoted people with whom I grew constantly. Along the way, emotions and shyness disappeared once I found that I was part of a team and a family that has grown, renewed, and become stronger every year. Programming Pool gave me a chance to develop professionally and personally. The challenges, difficulties, joys, sorrows, and all the other aspects of daily work, kept me closely connected to the company. I believed and continue to believe in the team spirit, which, together with the personal talent of each one and with the excellent working conditions offered, can carry forward the PPR dream.”

During my time with PPR, I worked with many teams on several projects. This gave me the unique opportunity to understand clients from different industries. Whether we were tackling UI, performance, reliability, or just customer business needs, there were a lot of exciting challenges along the way, and I cannot wait for the ones to come.”
Marius Savastru - Technical Lead
My professional experience in PPR started in 2002 when I joined the team after graduating from the University. I can say that I took the first steps in programming here with a handful of people curious and thirsty for what it meant to program at that time, especially in the web field. A lot of things have changed in this field all these years. I grew up with the company gathering the necessary knowledge for my professional development. This was possible due to the projects I worked on and the different training and team buildings organized by the company. I can say that even stressful situations contributed to my professional development because I had to learn new things, compare data or conditions, work with other people, and find the necessary solutions to solve the problems on the project. During my time here, the people I met and worked with became my friends and made PPR my second home for me. Professional development goes hand in hand with personal growth. PPR has contributed here, integrating into this family, our own families, by organizing various trips, sports competitions, or courses for everyone. I am sure the road will continue in the same way, and I am anxious to know the new professional and personal opportunities that will arise within the company.”
Romeo Roman - Developer
Working as an interface between the clients and the PPR Team creates a unique context of meeting and understanding the client’s expectations and correlating it with the team’s efforts for a unique professional experience. Being part of this setup for more than 11 years is proof of reliability, client trust, and satisfaction.”
